HealthCall is pleased to announce a new pediatric-focused support group called PREStiGe (Pediatric Respiratory Education and Support Group). PREStiGe will be a support group for parents, guardians, and caregivers of children with chronic respiratory illnesses, particularly those with tracheostomies and /or ventilator dependence. Our goals as nurse educators and community health providers are to: help families and caregivers cope with the day-to-day stress of their child’s respiratory challenges, create connections and relationships between caregivers that provide emotional, physical, and mental support, and offer education and information.
We will provide this support through written newsletters, online blogs, and in-person meetings. Your mutual encouragement, education, and new knowledge about your child’s care will be shared on a monthly basis.
The key to our success with this adventure is your participation. Participation in this support group is voluntary, and it is open to the public. If you wish to join, please contact HealthCall at 800.991.9933.
