Description: The Health Information Technician (HIT) organizes and maintains health information data and records within Electronic Health Records (EHR) and practice management systems, and is responsible for assuring that documents flow in a coordinated and efficient manner on behalf of HealthCall’s clinical programs. The HIT monitors for quality, accuracy, accessibility, and security in both paper and electronic systems. The HIT uses various classification systems to code and categorize client information for reimbursement, payroll, and medical record-keeping. The HIT manages the reconciliation and billing of claims with great attention to detail and timeliness. This role requires exceptional organizational and customer service skills.

  • Location: 28454 Woodward Avenue, Royal Oak, Michigan, 48067
  • Schedule: Full-time position (M-F, 8:30 am – 5 pm)

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Previous medical records, medical billing, practice management, and/or data management experience in community health or similar operation preferred.
  • Ability to type 50 words per minute required
  • Microsoft Word and Excel skills required.
  • Personal computer skills required.
