Mission and Values Statement
HealthCall specializes in community healthcare and behavioral services both in-home and in-center. HealthCall is committed to delivering person-centered care that serves as a model for the effective and efficient delivery of community-based healthcare. Our competent and compassionate staff operates with the sensitivity required to meet our clients’ individual needs through our dedication to ongoing performance improvement.
Philosophy of Care
HealthCall prides itself in providing exceptional care to medically and behaviorally complex clients, both in-community and in-clinic. HealthCall’s clinical programming spans two divisions: Home and Community Services and Behavioral Services, each detailed below.
Home and Community Services
Home and Community Services are provided in a community or in-home setting and include: level of care assessments, skilled nurse visits, private duty nursing, nursing respite, community living supports, and respite. All of these services are provided to clients in an effort to maintain and/or improve their medical status and quality of life in their community setting.
Home and Community services are provided to clients of all ages across a range of complex and / or long-term medical needs with special emphasis on pediatric nursing as well as nursing services for individuals who are ventilator-dependent. HealthCall acts in support of each client and their family, and acknowledges clients as individuals with a variety of unique needs and characteristics that should be considered when making treatment decisions. We provide this care compassionately, treating clients with kindness, dignity, and respect, and putting their interests first.
Behavioral Services
HealthCall provides comprehensive behavioral diagnostics, speech and language pathology, occupational therapy, feeding therapy, and behavioral therapies, including Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), with special emphasis on the continuum of needs exhibited by children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
HealthCall adheres to the principles of child-led therapy, client assent, and trauma-informed care. Our therapeutic approach and natural environment setting allow children to guide the direction of their therapy sessions, meeting their unique needs while creating a safe space for them. HealthCall builds rapport between clients, families, and clinicians, and includes family members in education and mentoring opportunities as well as goal-setting. HealthCall’s objective is to ensure that gains made in therapy will transfer to both the home and community environments.
“Do Good”
HealthCall’s mission and philosophy is to “do good,” and these values apply not only to clients, but to employees and the community, as well. In addition to caring for our clients to the best of our ability, we aim to do that with employees, as well.
HealthCall is a Teaching Clinic
HealthCall is a teaching facility, in which graduate students receive hands-on training in the clinic environment. We pride ourselves on promoting from within to encourage a focus on professional development, employee retention, and both individual and organizational growth.
Employees are Valued
By including employees in our philosophy of care, HealthCall prioritizes the well-being and needs of employees alongside the clients we serve, creating a culture where employees are treated with respect, supported in their work, and are considered integral to delivering high-quality care. We strive to provide a positive work environment, promote work-life balance, and actively listen to employee concerns. At HealthCall, we believe that well-cared-for employees will provide better care to our clients.
We provide employees with the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), in order to provide support to those who may be struggling with issues both work and non-work related. We recognize the diversity in our workforce and celebrate cultural awareness days, weeks, and months, with input from our employees.
We also aim to be good stewards of the community by taking part in volunteer initiatives that are consistent with our mission and values as an Organization.
Finally, by utilizing a servant leadership approach, we prioritize people over profits and believe that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
